Tutts of Dorking Ltd (formerly R W Tutt & Co Ltd) was started in 1962 by R W Tutt in Eastwick Road, Great Bookham. In 1964 the company moved to London Road Garage, London Road, Dorking on the former Fraser Nash Motor Cycle site and at that time partially occupied by Rob Walker Racing who had the hero's of today's F1 drivers driving for him, namely Stirling Moss, Graham Hill and the amazing Jim Clarke to name a few.

The business was started as a Body Repair Shop and in the early 70's employed a mechanic for the more major works to front enders, engine removals etc. Over the years the mechanic side quickly became the more profitable and busier part of Tutts as we had now been affectionately labeled. Although sadly missed by all its customers it was decided to close the body shop during 2002 and concentrate on mechanical only.

In April 2005 the freehold of London Road Garage was sold and we moved to our present premises in Curtis Road Industrial Estate, Dorking. A much larger workshop has enabled us to expand and are now also a VW, Audi Independent Specialist stocking original parts and also taking Seat and Skoda. Hence Tutts of Dorking Ltd now Incorporates Dorking VW-Audi Ltd.

We remain a fully independent mechanical garage, with vastly experienced technicians in all aspect of motor maintenance and repairs. ENGINE MANAGEMENT, FUEL INJECTION, AUTO ELECTRICAL, MOT, SERVICING, MECHANICAL REPAIRS and USED VEHICLE SOURCING & SALES.

The business is now headed by Arthur Somerville along with his wife Sue who runs the reception side of the business and is the founders daughter, it really is a true family business, and THE OLDEST FAMILY RUN GARAGE IN DORKING. We take great pride in being on first name terms with a vast majority of our client base, many vehicles have been passed down and are on their third generation!
